Art Centre

The Art centre was established in January 2006 with the aim to give youth with a mental disability the opportunity to:
• express their emotions and life experiences in a creative manner;
• have a structural and meaningful daily occupation;
• learn vocational and social skills;
• personally contribute to the development of the organisation;

Mehayo receives no support from the government and depends
on gifts and sponsors. An aim for the Art centre is also to create more financial resources for the development of the organisation and to reduce donor dependence. Through the Mehayo crafts the youth will be recognised for heir abilities and not their disabilities.
